Why Sports Education Deserves To Be An Integral Part of School Curriculum?

Sports have always been a core part of the education system. If you look at the education system of developed countries such as the US, Norway, or other European countries then you will notice that they press a little extra attention on sports and physical activities as it ensures sound mental and physical well-being. Unfortunately, this is not the case with our country, which is probably the reason why most teenagers either grew with malnutrition or obese in their prime years.

PT (Physical training) period is merely used for gossiping, complete pending assignments or to just hang around. It is just four or five out of 30 students who play dedicatedly. In some cases, the school does not have enough resources tom make the children play sports or the teacher himself isn’t competent enough.

If you look closely, students should not be held accountable too as they are so immersed in the world of mobile, applications, laptops and other gadgets leaving no room for physical activities. Also, there should be a fair balance between studies and recreation so that they can embrace both the aspects of education. Some of the best schools in Delhi understand the importance of physical training and sport activities but love towards sports and PT should be engraved in the very foundation of every educational institute in India.

Considered one of the forms of relief and a great stress buster, sports tend to help students take their mind off the worries and become more focussed. It also helps them gain self-confidence since the field becomes a platform for them to showcase their talent and display the best to their potential. Even if the child does not get to play at the district level or state level, they learn how to be physically active which is extremely important for any youngster.

Sports it’s a collective human activity that builds the foundation of having faith on yourself and people around you. When such values are ingrained in young minds at a young stage, it stays with them for the rest of their lives. Much to the relief of parents, some of the best schools in Delhi and NCR encourage physical activities than just laying emphasis on traditional teaching.

A child who indulges in sports from an early age, learns the value of leadership and management quite early in life. It is highly likely that in near future, he can become a trouble-shooter that most people require in their industries.
