Here is Why You Need Choose the Correct School for Your Kid

School is a place where a person spends a considerable amount of time in life. It literally sees people grow up from their childhood, in to the adult years of life. Therefore naturally, it strongly influences the shape and structure of one's personality. One can even be tempted to say that the impact of school is equally significant to that of the family, if not more.

An argument in favour of the above statement is that children spend even eight hours a day in school and if we were to subtract the time spent on sleeping, we realize that they spend more time sitting on a school bench than at home. Thus, with teachers taking over a lot of intimate responsibilities with regard to the children, beginning with protection and ending on transmitting the knowledge and basic moral values, they certainly end up having a bearing on how a person grows up in terms of mindset and personality.

Secondly, school plays a very important role in the process of socializing.

School is the place where a person meets his peers, makes friends and establish relationships which are more likely to continue for the rest of their lives. Though, the greatest role of a school as an institution is to teach children basics of living in a community and making life work.

However, another aspect of school life is that though children do not establish close and intimate (relationships with their teachers but in some moments of a children's life, the appreciation of friends may be of the utmost importance, even more than parents' opinion in some cases. This is in the light of the fact that an average pupil treats the teacher as a leader and not a friend of confidante.

Moreover, a lot of time in school is dedicated to preparing for exams and the competition for better grades. This though is in fact a fault of the centuries old educational system, which promotes tactless swotting of often entirely useless rules than practice in using the knowledge. Subsequently, the pupil's school life goes from one test to another - little time is left for pure pedagogy, i.e. modeling one's temperament and pointing at vital moral principles.

But, modern school life has started to show perceivable drift from the age old model of schooling, with more and more stress being laid on practical education and personality development. In India, there has been a mushroom growth of schools like the Shri Ram School, which is arguably the best school in Gurgaon and a name to reckon with, solely based on the fact that rather than focusing on traditional mindless swotting, they stress on an overall development of a child.

To sum up, it is undeniable that school is an essential part of every human life and children deserve an upgrade from the age old faulty system of education that dominates the sector even today. This can only be done by supporting more practical and tactical education rather than classroom mugging.

The Know of International Schools and Schooling

A school that provides an international education for an international community is known as an International School. These schools are generally found in and around major cities as they focus on catering the education needs of children of the expat families in particular and the children of the host country in general. There are international schools aligned to different countries like the United Kingdom or the United States of America, France or Germany.

However, in the year 2009, the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL) set a few criteria as to the definition of an International School:

•A student’s education should be transferable across different international schools.

•A mobile population is there (more than that in state schools).

•A multinational and multilingual student body exists in the school.

•An international curriculum is followed by the students.

•The school/s is or are internationally accredited by the likes of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) or the Council of International Schools (CIS).

•The schools/s is or are not selective.

•The main or the bilingual language is English.

But these criteria are not hard lined and there exist international schools that have deviated from this definition. For example, there are international schools that are selective in nature.

What Curriculum Does an International School Follow?

One mammoth distinction between international schools and national or state schools is that an internationally recognised and prescribed curriculum is followed by the former. These curriculums may include the English National Curriculum, the International Baccalaureate (IB). International GCSEs (IGCSEs) and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The existence of a uniform internationally recognized curriculum makes it possible and in fact easy for students to switch schools.

Benefits of Choosing an International School

The benefits of getting your child admitted in an international school are many. For a start, they give children an international multicultural education. This makes children have a first hand taste of diversity as they get to meet people who are from culturally diverse backgrounds. And all of them are united by that fact that English is their official language in the school. So the first “unity in diversity” lesson is learnt by the students while they are in an international school.

Since international schools have a mobile population with people leaving and new people coming in all the time, this makes the pupils of an international school incredibly adaptable. They open up and make friends quickly which in turn leads to an overall personality development, while it keeps the mental health of the kids at a very healthy level by making it easy for them to open up about things that they want to discuss.

Besides all this, extra-curricular activities tend to be a little better than other schools as pupils get a chance to show their talent in different sports as well as performing arts and to volunteering trips to other countries. This gives a huge bonus to the exposure that a kid gets and makes him a more confident person in life. In Delhi and the National Capital Region, The Shri Ram School is one such name that has become a potent force in this field and is in fact arguably one of the top international schools in Gurgaon. Their expertise, dedication and skills are top-notch and ensures all-round growth of children.

Things To Consider While Picking A School For Your Child

It is amazing to see the joy on the mother’s face when her kid is to go to school for the first time. There is a sense of pride, love and extreme care. There is also a hint of remorse at not having to see the child’s face every moment of the day. Children are precious and innocent at the same time. They are naïve and are not very familiar with the ways of the world either. Hence, till they achieve a certain age, it is their parents’ responsibility to take decisions that are the best for their children.

Whether it is the school they go to or the books they read, from food to education, everything becomes a decision one must make after a lot of research and contemplation. Hence when selecting top international schools in Gurgaon or elsewhere, we must look at some of the most important factors before selecting a school for our little one:

Infrastructure

It is very important for the school to have a well-structured building and a positive atmosphere. A building with colors, good lighting and right ventilation can change the mood of the structure completely. The child should feel happy and positive when stepping inside the building. Parents must avoid dull and drab spaces as that can depress the kid who might not want to go to school because of it.

Extracurricular Activities

Parents should make sure that the schools have appropriate playgrounds for the different sports they offer. A spacious and safe swimming pool is essential if swimming classes are to be conducted. A riding ground is essential for horse-riding. A wooden indoor ground works best for badminton and table tennis should have its own space. Always remember, extracurricular activities are as important as academics to develop team spirit and a sense of healthy competition in the child.

Teachers

The behavior of the teacher often affects the personality of the young kids. They tend to imitate their teachers who become their role models. So, a sweet-natured and gentle faculty will encourage amiability and a well-mannered disposition, whereas rude teachers can lead to rowdy behavior amongst children.

Subjects

Always make sure to check the subjects available in schools, and if they go with the preferences the kid has. In top international schools in Gurgaon and NCR such as TSRS, there are many choices one can select from and various combinations can be built according to the child’s interest.

Life Lessons Students Learn from Their Teachers in School

Teachers play a major role in shaping the minds of students at the school. They are influential and at times teach life lessons that prove to be beneficial in the later stages of life. These lessons have a long-lasting impact on a student’s life.

A teacher is basically the key to a student’s creative and intellectual abilities. While a good teacher can ignite passion within the heart of a student, a bad teacher can completely ruin a student’s interest in studies.

Have a look at some of the valuable lessons that the teachers in the best boarding schools in Delhi help their students learn-

Teaching the Value of Discipline

The very first thing that students learn during their school life is discipline. There are certain rules and regulations which every student is expected to follow. Moreover, choosing not to adhere to them will only make you weak and more prone to disorganization. Teachers try their best to make students realize the importance of discipline from a right age and this quality when learned and stuck to can make facing every facet of life easier.

Importance of Hard Work

We have often heard the term “hard work pays off” from our teachers. And this isn’t something out of the blue. History proves that one common thing that most successful people have in them is their enthusiasm to work hard.  While some students are naturally gifted, there are others who are not. But the fact remains that even the gifted students will not achieve much in life if they are lazy. If you are not willing to work hard, do not expect results.  This holds true for every task and not just school assignments.

Realizing the Ability to Make a Difference

A good teacher is always an inspiration for students and tries to bring out the best in them. He/ she understand that every student is different but still keeps faith in their abilities. They make the students realize that they can make a difference with simple gestures. They tell them the importance of things such as keeping their environment clean by throwing the litter in dustbins and how big a difference it can make in the long run.

Importance of Organization

Organization is very necessary to prevent chaos. Moreover, those who learn the art early in life have a greater chance of being successful later in life. It is for this reason that students who pass out from day boarding schools in Delhi have no difficulties keeping their things organized since they become habitual.

Why Education Is Important for Society’s Development?

From being cave dwellers to moon invasion, human race has witnessed considerable progress.  Moreover, shelter, food, electricity etc. have led to an improvement in living standards.  While humans do have certain superior skills, it is education which differentiates them from animals and helps create better societies.

It also gives a sense of freedom and opportunities to live a better life. While most of the people believe education to be the process of giving or receiving academic instructions, education in true sense is much more than that. It is a gradual learning process which is not just limited to the top schools in Delhi but can be received anywhere, anytime. Apart from development of society, it leads to elevation of social and economic conditions as well. Let us know why education is important for us:

Education Helps in Spreading Awareness

Superstitions and blind faith is very prominent especially in a country like India.  People misled by such beliefs in fact do more harm than good. Education helps spread awareness by questioning such beliefs and searching for analytical and scientific reasoning behind it all.

It Helps Differentiate Between Right and Wrong

Education helps lower crime rate by promoting what’s right and controlling what’s not. Moreover, it helps make better individuals.  While educated people believe in vanishing corruption, it is the uneducated people who are more bent towards promoting it.

Leads to Progress and Development

It helps in considerable progress by opening up a host of opportunities which are not bounded by geography.

Gives a Healthy Lifestyle

Since educated people are aware about how to live in a healthy way, they usually tend to have a longer life. Education also makes you aware regarding what to eat and what to avoid for a better, healthier life.

Helps You to Be More Productive

The more degrees you have, the better are your chances of getting economic opportunities. Moreover, there is a direct connection between education and productivity. Education is useful in helping a nation flourish, especially in today’s competition driven scenario.

It Helps in Better Cross Border Communication

Better education helps in the development of cross-border opportunities. Hence, it leads to a better world by making cross-border communication possible.

Prepare Your Child for School with These 6 Tips

Ask parents what they dread the most, and most of them will answer one thing. The tantrums the kids throw, the crying, the whining, and the negotiation. Trust me when I say negotiation with the North Korean prince is easier than setting up terms with my 4-year-old son. The look, Oh my God the look of why are you doing this to me is the worst. I almost start feeling guilty for sending him to school. Be at that!

Even if you have got them admission in one of the best schools in Delhi, you just can’t expect a 4 year old to adjust with the changes. Not for at least a good 3-4 months.

In case you are struggling with a child, just like me? Here are some tips for you.

1. Prepare Yourself

There is no such word as we are fully prepared. Even when your kid is fully wrapped in uniform always make sure that you leave early. The tactics mentioned in the first paragraph are repeated over and over which can make you late for school.

2. It’s Okay to Make a Fool of Yourself

Taking your school to the kid is not going to be a cakewalk. So just make sure you are ready to become whatever your kid desires. Sing, dance, become a superhero and make your kid stop from crying.

3. Embrace What is Happening

This is the best time to bond with your kid. Also, remember these moments will only last for few years. So instead of whining like your own child, it’s better to embrace the moment.

4. Engage him while on the Way to School

Play a game that engages your kids while going to the school. It can be carpool karaoke. Or it could be something as simple as choosing a colour and then spotting x no. of cars on the way. Don’t let your kids win always, okay sometimes!

5. Perrenial Brain Busters

Mental maths, spellings, countries, and capitals play all these games. Not only will they make your trip interesting but also make your kid smarter.

6. Buddy System

The foolproof and proven way to engage your kids in an activity they don’t want to do is to make them do it with their friends. Look up another family with a kid your kid gels well with and see him leaving all his tantrums at home.

4 Extracurricular Activities Every Student Must Indulge In

A lot of people, especially parents, are of the opinion that extracurricular activities are just meant for entertainment which, in fact, is not true. The role of extracurricular activities in the overall development of a child can’t be ignored.

To safeguard the interests and hobbies of students in this era of hi-tech gadgets and smartphones, it becomes all the more important for parents and teachers to motivate their child (respectively) to take part in extracurricular activities.

Below-mentioned is the list of 4 extracurricular activities every student must indulge in. Have a look:

•National Cadet Corps

One of the most important extracurricular activities organised by schools and colleges, National Cadet Corps help empower kids from the very beginning. The minimum age limit for NCC is 13 years. NCC cadets learn about a lot of things including survival practices, camping, discipline, handling crowd etc. A number of vital life skills can be inculcated in a child through NCC camps which further help him/her grow in the right direction.

•Quiz Contests

Every prominent ICSE school in Gurgaon boasts of their erudite quiz contests. These are held on a regular basis to impart knowledge to students in a creative manner. As a reward, certificates and prizes are given to the students. This not only enhances their knowledge around various subjects but also boosts their confidence.

•Debate Clubs

Debate clubs exist in various schools of Delhi-NCR. These debate clubs organise number of interschool and intra-school debate competitions to make students aware of the on-going issues and check how well they perceive them.  From inculcating oratory skills in the child to developing a rational mind-set, debate clubs are great for the overall development of a child. They also help him/her understand how to put forth his/her viewpoint without indulging in arguments or spats.

Schools in Delhi-NCR are putting their best efforts to help children grow beyond academics. Be it sports or extracurricular activities, schools are positive about granting students their individual space where they can learn and evolve. When they grow up, these life-skills (which they must have developed during their childhood) tremendously help them become better individuals and lead their life well.

Parents who don’t allow their children to take part in extracurricular activities ought to look beyond the obvious. In spite of considering these activities useless for their kid, they should motivate them.

How sports aids overall personality development of a child?

Just like academic education, sports education can play a vital role in overall personality development of a child. In addition to building self-assurance and educating kids about psychological self-control, it also boosts IQ and EQ levels that are important to achieve success in life. Need more evidence? Read on to find out why making your child indulged in sports activities can help them in long run.

Learning The Value of Being Organized

Organized sports not only keep children far healthy physically but mentally as well. Research reveal that kids who play sports are often far healthy and physically more powerful than their less athletic peers - plus they're smarter as well. No wonder, the best IB schools in Delhi give due importance to sports and co-curricular activities to make their students learn important life skills, like hard work, patience, and perseverance.

Sports Inculcates A Motivational Spirit

Sports teachers in ICSE schools in Gurgaon claim that team sports motivate the students to not only perform well in sports but also in studies. You must be knowing an old saying, “There Is no I in team?” Organized sports teach kids the important life skills to get along with teammates they might not necessarily like. It motivates them to compromise and make adjustments with their peers in time of need. This is one valuable lesson that sports teach students.

Meeting with People From Various Backgrounds

The thing about team sports is that it offers a valuable learning experience to the kids as it brings together children from different cultural and religious heritages. When playing on a team, children, coaches, and parents spend lots of time together. Not only the young athletes learn how to respect and honor their coach and his decisions, but additionally to respect their fellow teammates. By realizing the strengths that every specific participant brings to the team, they will learn to enjoy and respect each other’s talents. That is because organized athletics teach children how to be encouraged during exercise, how to concentrate on the job at hand, and how to have persistence when the going gets tough.

Sports not only make kids tough from outside but it also strengthens them from within. By playing organized sports children learn some important life lessons that they can carry forward later in life as well.

Few Things to Ensure Before Enrolling Your Child in a School

Other than deciding to have a child, the most monumental of decisions regarding kids is the school they should be sent to once they are of age. One may argue that there is no particular “right school for the kids” and that one has to make the most of the opportunities provided. But one has to ensure that they do the right thing by taking the right first step. Since it is about the future of your child, you need to evaluate every school on certain parameters before closing in on the best among the options:

The Staff

New entrants to the school (and their parents) have the opportunity to interact with the school’s principal. A meeting with the school principal & staff can give the parents insight on the type and quality of student-teacher bond the school forms. For example, IB schools in Delhi and NCR region may have a different style of teaching and building a friendly rapport with the students. And then there might be other schools who prefer to maintain the more formal teacher-student relationship. Meeting the principal also helps parents understand the mindset and the authority the school will run on.

Past Achievements

This is to be evaluated if you know the school has been around for a while. This is good enough time for schools to step up and create a base for academic & extra-curricular excellence. There are inter-school competitions held around the academic year where various schools compete. Their training levels, winning rates help develop a perception about the school, staff and the facilities behind the same. Additionally, one may always look up school alumni and how they have performed, to know whether your child can reach his/her potential by enrolling here.

Facilities & Infrastructure

The various facilities made available to a child can really help them bloom. So, a parent should understand what all will be accessible to their little one. From the teacher-student ratio to facilities such as well-maintained sports field, a stocked library, hygienic canteen, there are things a parent can watch out for when visiting the school. These add value by developing your child’s personality by giving them the freedom to explore beyond the books on their table. A well-developed sports facility which is mostly available in ICSE schools in Gurgaon and NCR can also you’re your child’s raw talent, positioning them to be the next best sports star of the country.

Commercials

School education is expensive, therefore one needs to consider the cost as well and whether it is affordable at the current salary the family is drawing. Distance from the school also matters here because transportation is an additional cost that is added to the school fee, and the cost usually increases exponentially with the school. There are other expenses such as uniform, books, stationery that also need to be considered.

Mid-Day Meal Scheme in India

Mid-day meal scheme in India includes the provision of lunch free of cost to all government school students on all working days. Some important objectives of this scheme include reducing classroom hunger, increasing enrolment, having attendance, improved socialization, inclusivity, and addressing malnutrition. It is also involved in social empowerment by providing employment to women under the mid-day meal scheme. This is the largest meals scheme and is very popular in India but it faces many challenges like gross irregularities and casteism. Despite facing challenges, it has achieved a lot in fighting malnutrition and improving enrolment in government schools making government schools competitive to some of the top schools in Delhi and other best schools in India.

Challenges In Mid-Day Meals Scheme

Poor Quality Of Food

There are so many complaints regarding the poor quality of food in the mid-day meal scheme. The food supplied to students of government schools in India is not sufficient to meet the required nutritional standards. Along with the quality, there is discriminated supply of meals regarding the quantity. There can be many reasons for this. One of the major reasons can be undedicated workers and officials as some of them may try to make a profit out of this government scheme. At some point in the hierarchy, there is something irrelevant and the mid-day meal scheme is facing challenges regarding its proper management and delivery.

Gross Irregularities

Actual children being benefitted from the mid-day meal scheme are very less compared to that furnished by the states to the Ministry of Human Resources to claim the costs of cooking and food grains. Inflated transportation facility to schools is the other major irregularity in the mid-day meal scheme. This along with other gross irregularities is leading to a consistent decline of the enrolment of students in government schools.

Casteism

The claws of casteism are definitely prevalent in the mid-day meal scheme in India. Some student bodies during their visits to some government schools have found the practice of casteism during the mid-day meal scheme. They have reported about the caste discrimination between the dalits or other lower caste students and upper caste students of the school. Some lower caste students are not even allowed to serve food to upper caste fellows or they are not even considered to be mere equals. This kind of discrimination is the prime reason for the dropout of nearly 20% of government school students.

Why Your Child Needs To Learn Self-Discipline And Control?

Parenthood brings a lot of responsibilities with itself. Though, most parents feel that the first two-three years are the most difficult and one eventually start getting a little free once the child starts going to school but that’s not entirely true. The real struggle begins when your child is about three or four years old and parents have to start telling the value of discipline to them.

Developing discipline in your child is one of the most important aspects of parenthood; whether it is potty training or teaching them how to read and right, everything demands a good amount of attention. Most parents tend to get angry on their kids for being impulsive and not following a certain code of conduct but what they need to understand is that the approach they follow to sort of tame the wildness of their kids is not right.

Self-discipline is not something they were born with. They will eventually have to develop it and that’s where good parenting and schooling play a part.  The following are some suggestions on how to inculcate self-discipline in children:

Learning The Value Of Self-Discipline

Criticism is something we all dislike. No one wants to face that situation. The situation becomes acute when children are in question. This is a brilliant situation to teach them self-control.  When your child is faced with a tricky situation, make sure they are taught that they should reciprocate with a good attitude and positive behaviour. This helps children to develop self-control. Good response in an unfavourable situation helps the children to learn self-control. This is an important lesson in life that only a few parents and top schools in Delhi and NCR thrust upon to apply.

Developing Social Skills

Social skills demonstrate a great deal of self-control. Not every child adjusts with his/her company. A lot of things are involved in the process such as complying with other’s needs, sharing space, food, parents, and friends too for that matter. When children adjust and control their natural impulses, they deserve praise and acknowledgement from both teachers and parents. Listening and knowing when and how to interrupt, anger control, reporting back after finishing a chore needs focus and self-discipline.

Inculcating Morning Habits

Morning routines, chores, and family schedules give children opportunities to children to learn responsibility and self-discipline.  Apart from this bedtime discipline, inculcating a habit of doing the right thing even when no one’s watching, all these things also play a great role in instilling self-discipline in the child.

What Makes Teaching A Great Career Option?

Many people consider teaching as a profession that one chooses when all the other options are closed. Many opinions float saying that teachers don't earn very well and the profession is no longer as respectful as it used to be. Especially, in a country like India, teachers don’t get the respect and pay that they actually deserve. Even the ones who think it's their calling tend to do something else because they feel that they won’t be able to take care of their monetary requirements if they continue to be in this profession. Some of the best IB schools in Delhi and NCR region are gracious enough to give their teachers a good salary but the situation is highly bleak in small towns and villages.

So, what if this trend continues?

We will face a dearth of teachers and be risking the education of the coming generation. But one must remember that teaching as a profession has many perks and if one has the passion for teaching then there is no looking back. Yes, you may never earn as high as in a high-profile corporate job but there are many other perks of making a career in the teaching profession and here, we mention a few of them.

Job Stability

As we all know the job markets today are increasingly unstable with the shares in the stocks going up and down, no one really knows till when they are fired next. If you are a teacher you have a reliable stable salary even in an unstable job market. Best CBSE and ICSE schools in Gurgaon and NCR pay teachers well and also treat them with respect.

Passion With Profession

Various career counsellors at different phases in your life would have advised you to follow your passion while choosing a profession. Teaching is one of those rare passions that is very safe so even if you start, with teaching it will pay less but still pay. The risk factor involved is way too less in comparison with any other profession like dancing or music or a corporate job for that matter

Lesser Working Hours

Teachers have reasonable working hours. Their shifts are much smaller than the people working in corporate offices, so the work-life balance is well maintained. If you love kids, you get to be around them for free and that is also a plus.

Advantages Of ICSE Students

There has been a tremendous development in various sectors in India like education. Education has contributed a lot towards the growth at an international level. Though there are many educational boards in the academic sector of India, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) are two important boards which have their own benefits for the students. Choosing the right board is very important as it plays a significant role in the career of the students. Students can choose between prestigious ICSE campuses, be it residential or day boarding schools in Delhi, Mumbai, or any other big city. Here we have listed the benefits of studying under ICSE education system:

Syllabus of ICSE board of education is an interesting feature of this board as it is more complete and perfectly comprehensive. This syllabus covers all fields by giving equal importance and this helps in noticing the interests and choices of students.

Students who wish to continue their careers in humanities courses or management studies find ICSE board of education very helpful. Students can find this challenging and interesting. Of course, they find it fruitful too!

Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) is properly recognized by international schools and educational institutions when compared to the local margin of CBSE standards of education. ICSE schools in Gurgaon, Saket, and other places in our capital, Delhi have some amazing alumni who achieved success in whatever the path they chose.

As English is given more importance in ICSE board, students who wish to appear for TOEFL find this syllabus and their education very helpful. This becomes their advantage and also gives them a sense of satisfaction about the education they have received all their life.

Communications skills are very important in any field you choose and students need good English to be able to communicate in their careers. ICSE board of education prepares students for the real-life struggle with communication and soft skills. Students can learn good and perfect levels of communication as part of their education in this board.

Nature of hardworking or capacity to learn more will definitely be improved because of the vast syllabus ICSE board of education provides. A true quest for knowledge can definitely be quenched if one opts for ICSE board of education in India as it has every field and topic covered up in its syllabus.

Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) might seem a little overboard but it can help you in whatever the career you choose. As the board of education is broad, the scope is better in this than any other board of education in India. One should remember that success is not a destination but a journey and ICSE board of education gives students a beautiful and enlightening journey in their careers.

How To Make Your Child Cope Up In IB School?

Enrolling your child in one of the best schools in Gurgaon, Delhi, or NCR can be quite a tedious task and once you are done with this process, the next task is making sure that he is at par with his peers. Parents love to make their child study in IB schools because not only do they provide a much better curriculum than rest of the schools, but also provide international exposure.

However, sometimes students might feel left out in the fray and struggle with keeping their grades up. This is especially true when students migrate from other educational standards or if they’re unable to understand certain subject areas. Here’s how they can keep up with the other students –

Devote More Time To Subjects That Needs More Attention

It is advised to spend more time on subjects that the child is weak in. Parents can use multi-sensory learning principles to get students understand a subject matter deeper. The simple act of putting more effort into really understanding a subject area can enhance your child’s cognitive skills and it would not take him much time to pick up the pace.

Communicate Frankly With The Teachers

Teachers are here to help you. If your child is not performing the way he should, then talking to the teacher/ professors is a good idea. Being parents, we want our kids to express themselves and achieve their dreams to their fullest potential. Encouraging them to talk to their teachers is always a good idea. That’s exactly what the top IB and ICSE schools in Gurgaon, Delhi and NCR, like The Shri Ram School, promote in the minds of young students.

Participate In Extra-Curricular Activities

Being a part of extracurricular activities is a great way to interact with other achievers in the classroom as well as stimulate the mind to newer ideas and thoughts. Since IB schools have the highest calibre of talent, it’s a good idea to interact with top students outside of the classroom setting. It is highly likely that your child may find interest in other activities such as sports, theatre, painting, or dancing which he might also take up as a career path in near future.

International Schools: The key to your child’s success

That alone is education which leads to liberation. As more and more parents are catching up with this phrase, the importance of education in the Indian context has shot up in the recent years. All they want is for their child to attend a school which lays the foundation for her to become a global citizen, in the truest sense of the word, a critical thinker, who can form her own thoughts and opinions, and prepare her for what lies beyond the gates of the institution.

The misfortune of our times is that we have a limited number of such schools which offer a holistic curriculum. The competition is fierce to get admission into top international schools in Gurgaon and Delhi NCR. Parents line up in front of school gates for hours during the admission season to get the admission form. Understandably so, because a student from such an institution is bound to have access to a wholesome and comprehensive education system, the advantages of which are endless.

International Curriculum: IB schools in Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore and other places in India follow the International Baccalaureate curriculum, along with the IGCSE and AS/A Levels. These curriculums are intensive and challenge the students to think outside of the box, thus making critical thinkers of them. These curriculums are accepted worldwide, thus increasing the chances of the students to enter top level universities worldwide.

Exposure to Global Culture: One of the biggest advantages of enrolling your child in an international school is perhaps the amount of global diversity it offers. A lot of these schools have faculty and students from all over the country, thus providing your child with a cosmopolitan perspective.

Extra Curricular Activities: Rote learning and excelling in academics only is not acceptable anymore.
